The Wyoming ranch market has remained strong through a sluggish economic recovery. However, the Wyoming ranch real estate market have been in extremely high demand this spring. Numerous Wyoming ranches for sale in the state have sold or are currently under contract. Most notably several ranches for sale in southeastern Wyoming have traded in the early part of 2013 with a hand-full of others pending. Southeastern Wyoming ranches are typically larger, lower price per acre properties, with outstanding income and recreational attributes. Many of these ranches have strong hunting and fishing attractions, plentiful water rights, and mineral and wind energy potential. Colorado’s front range attractions as well as Denver International Airport also allure buyers to investing in southeast Wyoming. As investors continue to look at ranches as low maintenance places to “park cash”, we remain optimistic for a strong 2013. With its conservative governing body, low taxes, and attractive land values, Wyoming will most likely stay at the forefront of this western land rush.
